‘Senser’, is a floating marble sculpture, which can be used as an incense burner and/ or a light pendant. It consists of two U-shaped concave shapes of solid marble, which are carved out so that space is created. Then light and/ or incense is transmitted from within the stone.

‘Senser’ is inspired by incense burners found in the Greek orthodox churches. Burning incense represents the prayers of people rising towards God. Letting light through solid stone symbolises the ethereality of a heavenly world.
We employ unique properties of marble, like translucency and create a modern representation of an ecclesiastic censer. Our intention is to enrich the environment with stimuli, engage the users’ senses and alter their emotional field.
